When creating a new store in Shopify, you have to enter store name. If you change your mind in the future, you can edit this name. In this quick guide, I will show you how to do this.
Important note: Based on the store name, Shopify automatically creates the unique URL which identifies your store (this one ending with myshopify.com). There is no possibility to change this URL, so if you want to do this, you have to create a new store.
1. Log in as a store owner to the Shopify admin panel.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Open Store details tab and next click Edit button in the top right corner of Basic information section.
4. Enter new store name and click Save button in the top right corner.
After following these steps your store name will be changed.
