Saving video on TikTok can be understood in two ways. On the one hand, you can add video to your favorites, to find them quickly in the future. On the other hand, you can save it directly on your phone as an MP4 file to edit it, reupload or do whatever you need. In this guide, I will show you how to do both scenarios.
How to view TikTok videos saved in favorites?
1. Open TikTok app
2. Go to your profile by clicking on the profile icon in the bottom right corner
3. Click on the favorites icon (third icon from the left)
4. Now, you see all TikTok videos you saved in your favorites
How to save TikTok video in favorites?
1. Open TikTok app
2. Click on add to favorites icon on the right side
3. Done, video is already saved in your favorites
How to view TikTok video saved on your phone as an MP4 file?
1. Open an application to manage photos on your phone (iPhone example on screenshots)
2. Scroll down to Media Types, find Videos type, and click it
3. Now you have access to all videos on your phone, also TikTok videos saved as MP4 file
How to save TikTok video as an MP4 file?
1. Open TikTok app
2. Click share button on the right side
3. Click “Save video” visible in the bottom section
4. Done, video is saved as an MP4 file on your phone
It is worth noticing that saving videos in favorites can impact to TikToks displayed to you by TikTok’s algorithm. Saving video as an MP4 file (downloading it) probably doesn’t have any impact on the content you see.
